LAMP Application Information

Participant Commitment

In order for LAMP participants to be successful and for LAMP to achieve its goals, each participant must: 

  • Attend LAMP orientation at the PLUS Leadership Assembly at the outset of the 18 month commitment
  • Attend two PLUS education programs during the LAMP program
  • Assist PLUS in identifying a mentor in the professional liability industry and be actively engaged with the selected mentor
  • Actively participate in LAMP group coaching sessions/webinars
  • Be actively engaged as a volunteer through PLUS Chapters, committees, events, etc.
  • Enroll in the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) program and complete at least three exams within one year of completion of LAMP participation
  • Timely submit program-related materials

Application Process

  • Application Form - signed
  • Supervisor Agreement Form - signed
  • Letter of Recommendation - written by the applicant's supervisor or employer
  • Current Resume
  • Personal Essay - 700 words or fewer about your interest in the program, community service/leadership you have exemplified, any unique circumstances you may have overcome, any other leadership programs in which you have/are participating, and what you intend to get out of this program
  • Recent Photo - professional headshot with plain background; 300 dpi or better; taken within past 12 months.  Photo will only be used if applicant is selected

The application and supporting documents must contain all requested information attached to a single e-mail, and be received by the deadline.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Alumni Engagement

Through LAMP, PLUS seeks inclusive participation within the professional liability insurance industry and promotes involvement and access to leadership opportunities for people of all backgrounds and perspectives. PLUS is dedicated to providing leadership and resources in order to uphold this commitment. 

To help PLUS increase leadership in the professional liability insurance community, LAMP participants are encouraged to continue their engagement with PLUS after conclusion of the LAMP term. As a LAMP participant, you acknowledge that you will endeavor to participate in impactful opportunities, such as:

  • Contributing content to various PLUS publications and online resources 
  • Participating in future PLUS events and conferences 
  • Participating in PLUS focus groups and/or committees 
  • Supporting and participating in future LAMP events 
  • Providing constructive feedback to help improve LAMP 
  • Advocating for, and recommending, colleagues and/or mentees for LAMP
