Moderated by Jordan Eth, Co-Chair, Morrison & Foerster’s Securities Litigation, Enforcement, and White-Collar Criminal Defense Group. As U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 2009 to 2017, Preet Bharara earned the reputation of "crusader" prosecutor. Through a moderated Q&A, Bharara recounts his role in several of the most high-profile cases of the last decade, including Bernie Madoff, Wall Street firms, Speaker of the New York State Assembly Sheldon Silver and Times Square Bomber, Faizal Shahzad. He will also speak to observations from his role as prosecutor and whether or not changes are on the horizon, addressing the question, “What does executive accountability mean today and how do we effect change in this disruptive environment while driving positive change here at home and around the world?
