Edward (Ned) J. Kirk is a partner in our New York office.  He has extensive experience representing domestic and foreign insurers and re-insurers in investigating and litigating first and third-party commercial insurance claims, and defending extra contractual lawsuits.  This includes professional indemnity policies, errors and omissions policies, general liability policies, directors and officers liability policies, property and casualty policies, financial institution bonds, and commercial crime bonds.

He is a frequent speaker at insurance industry conferences and has published a number of articles on various topics relating to commercial insurance law and financial institution risks. Ned holds an AV Peer Review Rating, the highest ranking for legal ability and general ethical standards, as reported by the LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York.  Ned is a member of the American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, the New York Bar Association and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.  He received his bachelor's degree from Columbia College, Columbia University, and his law degree from the Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America.
