|
||
Dude, Prepare for Legalization: Cannabis and Professional Liability The commercial cannabis industry is highly regulated and underwriting cannabis risks requires a deep understanding of the cannabis industry as well as the individual state regulated markets. Cannabis claims involve risks that are not well known at this time due to the lack of long-term research and studies as a result of cannabis’ federal illegality. The interplay between the state legal commercial cannabis market and federal illegality causes a unique dilemma for the insurance industry. This session will examine the insurance industry’s challenges with this growing exposure. |

Management & PL Markets Today The management and professional liability insurance marketplaces are changing daily. Prices are going up. Capacity is beginning to be cut. Is coverage next? This panel will discuss why we are seeing price increases, particularly as to certain products and customer segments (e.g., D&O and IPOs); the “staying power” of these increased pricing trends and the chances they will spread to other products and customer segments. |
