In addition to managing the Global Specialty products, Christine also manages senior client and insurer relationships.

Christopher Vlasich

Christopher Vlasich is a graduate of Michigan State University, Honors College (1999, BA) and Case Western Reserve University School of Law (2002, JD). After law school, Christopher practiced law in Cleveland for eight years, first as a coverage attorney, and then focusing on professional malpractice litigation, until he moved to Chicago in 2010 and joined the insurance industry. Mr. Vlasich has handled mass tort and E&O claims, been a D&O claims practice leader, and in his current role as AVP for Financial Lines, he leads a team handling D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Transactional Risk claims. Mr. Vlasich is also the Financial Lines Complex Claims Director for North America and is accountable for oversight as to coverage and authority for various lines, including D&O, E&O, EPL, Cyber/Media/Tech, Fiduciary, and Transactional Risk claims.<br/><br/>

David Stewart
<p>
David joined TransRe in 1997 as an underwriter in the Special Casualty Underwriting Department focusing on a variety of professional liability accounts including Medical, D&O and other Miscellaneous E&O lines. In 2006 he was asked to join the Global Risk Management department established that year to help develop and manage extreme events analysis, risk tolerances and aggregates as well as emerging risks to the organization.
<br/><br/>
Prior to TransRe, David was an underwriter in the casualty treaty division of Munich America Reinsurance in New York where he was responsible for underwriting, technical analysis, client audit and business development of general third party and professional liability classes of business. He previously worked for smaller international reinsurance companies in New York as well as the publicly traded primary insurance broker, Brown & Brown.

David is an adjunct assistant professor at St. John’s University in New York City and has been teaching and presenting on insurance and reinsurance topics globally for St. John’s, TransRe, RAA, BRMA and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) for over two decades.

Dennis M. Schlaffer, 44, Senior Vice President of Underwriting in the Executive Liability Division of Great American Insurance Company since 1999. Mr. Schlaffer has national reporting responsibilities for Public Company, Large Private Company, and Financial Institutions Underwriting for Management Liability Lines. He received his Master of Science in Finance from Northern Illinois University. Edmund McAlister
<p>
Edmund McAlister concentrates his practice on insurance coverage disputes under general liability, D&O liability, and all-risk insurance policies as well as on general commercial litigation. His litigation experience includes large, complex, and high profile cases. He has litigated numerous coverage and bad faith matters for domestic and foreign insurer clients. Mr. McAlister successfully prosecuted the first-ever bilateral class action lawsuit arising out of the demutualization of the Chicago Board of Trade, and prosecuted unlawful competition and tortious interference claims on behalf of a publicly traded company that resulted in a permanent injunction. In addition, Mr. McAlister represents the country’s premier provider of armed maritime security, and first-chaired a trial to determine if former Navy SEALS providing armed security aboard U.S.-flagged merchant ships were “independent contractors.” Mr. McAlister's publications include: <em>Persistent Threat</em>, CARGO SECURITY INTERNATIONAL, London, January 2015 (outlining challenges facing security professionals and logisticians dealing with piracy in the Gulf of Guinea); <em>The Barbarians are at the Gate, and the Junta Won't Return My Calls... Elizabeth Neumann

Elizabeth Neumann joined Axis Insurance in December 2015 and is the Head of Professional Liability Claims. In this role, Elizabeth is responsible for leading the Professional Liability Claims organization for North American Insurance. Prior to joining Axis, Elizabeth spent 10 years at CNA Insurance where she held various claim leadership positions. Jeff McDonald

Jeff McDonald began his 30+ year insurance career in 1992 at Premier Alliance Insurance Company underwriting medical malpractice insurance. He moved to CNA early in his career where he focused on underwriting physician groups and hospitals. In 1999, Jeff joined Hudson and was involved in underwriting allied healthcare programs, miscellaneous medical facilities, physician groups, and hospitals. While at Hudson, Jeff was given the opportunity to expand his career to underwriting management, and
oversaw their Chicago office for nearly 15 years. He then moved on to Axis where he was responsible for establishing the medical professional liability insurance division for their healthcare clients, and was responsible for managing its distribution channels, growth, and profitability. In 2018 Jeff joined TDC Specialty Underwriters as Senior Vice President. He currently oversees both the Medical Facilities and Hospitals segments.
