The Cyber Professional Liability Practitioner (CPLP) designation equips professionals with foundational knowledge in cyber liability.

Stay current on evolving trends through ongoing education, ensuring readiness for the dynamic professional landscape.

How to Earn the CPLP Designation:

  • Be a PLUS member with at least 2 years of insurance industry experience
  • Complete the following PLUS Curriculum modules and their corresponding exams:
  • Attend the live Cyber University virtual program or complete the on-demand version
  • Finish the Held for Ransom eLearning course
  • Submit the CPLP Agreement Form to Stephanie, the Designation & Curriculum Manager, after completing the above requirements.

Maintaining your CPLP Designation:

To maintain your CPLP designation, complete & self-report 12 hours of professional development related to cyber professional liability every 2 years. Half of these hours must be from courses presented by PLUS, such as:

  • PLUS Cyber Symposium (in-person or on demand)
  • Any other PLUS Symposium or Conference sessions on cyber liability
  • Any PLUS webinar addressing cyber liability

Note: *Professional development hours do not need to come from state-approved continuing education courses. PLUS Cyber University does not qualify for professional development hours, as it is a requirement for earning the CPLP designation.

Complete the CPLP Agreements Form after completing your last module and submit it to the Designation & Curriculum Manager.
