North Central WLN: Fueled by Hope

WLN NoCentral 101624

This October 22nd will mark 35 years since 11-year-old Jacob Wetterling was kidnapped. It changed Minnesota history and led to new laws that protect our children, thanks in large part to the advocacy efforts of one mom who refused to give up hope. In 2016, Jacob’s case was finally solved with a little help from an unexpected source—a blogger named Joy the Curious.

The PLUS Women’s Leadership Network invites you to hear Patty Wetterling and Joy Baker share how their quest for answers in the search for Jacob led to a lifelong friendship, and the publication of Patty’s long-awaited memoir “Dear Jacob – A Mother’s Journey of Hope.” We will host a drawing to give away 10 free copies of Patty’s book.

Patty will also share the mission of the Zero Abuse Project and the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, and how we can all work together to build a better, safer world for children.
