PLUS 2022 PLUS1 Award Winner: Dan A. Bailey

Dan A. Bailey, Chair, Bailey Cavalieri has been awarded the 2022 PLUS1 Award at the 35th annual PLUS Conference, held November 8-11 in San Diego, CA.

The PLUS1 Award is presented to a person whose efforts have contributed substantially to the advancement and image of the professional liability industry. Criteria used when selecting the PLUS1 Award winner include reputation and success in the professional liability industry, history of lectures and service on panels addressing topics in the industry, current activity in professional liability, training, and involvement in PLUS, longevity in the insurance industry, and measure of impact on the professional liability industry.

Bailey was chosen for this prestigious award because of his dedication to professional liability industry. He is a nationally recognized expert regarding directors and officers responsibilities, liabilities, indemnification and insurance. As Chair of Bailey Cavalieri LLCs D&O practice group, he represents directors and officers, corporations and insurance companies relating to corporate governance matters, and has been involved in most of the largest D&O lawsuits in the country for more than 35 years. In addition to publishing dozens of articles on the subject, he is co-author with William E. Knepper of Liability of Corporate Officers and Directors (8th Edition), which is cited as the standard treatise on the topic.

Dan is one of the most widely respected and revered experts in the professional liability insurance industry, Robbie Thompson, CEO of PLUS said.
