Professional Liability Underwriting Society Announces Julianna Ryan as the 2025 PLUS1 Award Recipient

The Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) is pleased to share that the newest recipient of the prestigious 2025 PLUS1 Award is Julianna Ryan, a founding partner of Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP. The distinguished honor celebrates exceptional professionals who have made remarkable additions to the everchanging world of professional liability insurance. Several different criteria are considered during the selection process including reputation and career success, history of lectures, participation on panels addressing topics in the industry, current activity in professional liability, training and involvement in PLUS, and both the longevity and measure of impact in the business.

Ms. Ryan has been at the forefront of legal counseling and product development in areas of emerging management liability insurance for more than 35 years, for both insurers and brokers, and is a frequent commentator for legal and insurance industry publications. She is a recipient of the National Association of Insurance Women’s Industry Recognition Award as well as named by New York Super Lawyers as one of the top attorneys in the greater Metropolitan New York area every year for the past 15 years and selected as one of the Super Lawyer Top Women for the last 14 years.
