Professional Liability Underwriting Society Announces the 2025 PLUS Emerging Leader Award Recipients

The Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) proudly announced the recipients of the prestigious 2025 Emerging Leader Award, a distinguished recognition that will be presented at the 38th annual PLUS Conference. The award honors the exceptional achievements of young professionals who have demonstrated remarkable excellence in their respective fields and within the professional liability insurance industry. This year, it is given to three individuals who exhibit exceptional attributes and great potential to lead and shape the future of professional liability.

The 2025 Emerging Leader Award recipients have not only excelled in their profession but have also displayed unparalleled dedication and innovation within the industry. Their accomplishments serve as a testament to their commitment to excellence and their significant contributions to the growth and advancement of professional liability insurance.

The recipients will be formally recognized during the 2025 PLUS Conference Fuel for Leaders: Attendee Breakfast on the morning of November 11. This conference is the premier professional liability event known for fostering knowledge exchange, professional growth and networking opportunities within the insurance community. The event will be held at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, November 10-12.

Alaina Clemmons – E&O Executive Underwriter, Canopius US
Alaina Clemmons is an Errors & Omissions Executive Underwriter at Canopius based in Chicago, underwriting Excess Accountants, Lawyers, and Miscellaneous Professional Liability exposures. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in Statistics & Economics, and started her career underwriting Accountants Professional Liability at CNA in 2018. She earned her RPLU designation in 2020 and has been involved in PLUS and Future PLUS since 2021, including serving on the Midwest Chapter Steering Committee, leading the Future PLUS Mentorship Network Subcommittee, and previously chairing the Future PLUS Leadership Committee.

What This Award Means to Me
I am incredibly grateful to receive the PLUS Emerging Leader Award this year, and to do so alongside Mike and Tiffany. Finding my way into this wonderful area of the insurance world and discovering PLUS early in my career has been truly rewarding—my PLUS network and the events have always felt like home within the industry. It’s been remarkable to see that the initial choice to raise my hand to volunteer on a PLUS Committee has led to lasting friendships, meaningful leadership experiences, and opportunities to help shape innovative programs for Future PLUS members. I’m excited for what’s to come in the PLUS community, both for myself and the ambitious young professionals that I see entering the insurance industry in this transformative time.

Mike Galati – Senior Complex Claims Director, Berkley Professional Liability
Mr. Galati is a Senior Complex Claims Director on the Berkley Professional Liability claims team, where he manages Directors and Officers Insurance and Representations and Warranties Insurance claims. With an analytical approach to complex matters, Mr. Galati consistently delivers sound coverage determinations that reflect both strategic insight and technical precision. Beyond his professional role, Mr. Galati is a committed member within the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. He currently serves as the Future PLUS Vice Chair, Chair of the Future PLUS Conference Welcome Task Force, and is an active member of both the Future PLUS Leadership Committee and the PLUS Eastern Chapter Board.

What This Award Means to Me
Winning the 2025 PLUS Emerging Leader Award is an incredible honor and a deeply meaningful milestone in my career. Being selected as an Emerging Leader is not only a recognition of my personal commitment to the professional liability industry, but also a reflection of the unwavering support and guidance I’ve received from my mentors and colleagues throughout the years. In addition to my mentors and colleagues, my journey in insurance has been shaped by my involvement with PLUS, which has provided me with invaluable opportunities to lead, collaborate, and build connections across the industry. I’m sincerely grateful to my mentors, colleagues, and the PLUS community for challenging me, believing in me, and opening doors that have helped me become the professional I am today. Tiffany Parker-Bogan – Managing Account Executive, Travelers
Tiffany Parker-Bogan is a Managing Account Executive at Travelers in the Private and Non-Profit Management Liability unit, leading a team of underwriters serving southeastern Pennsylvania. With over a decade of experience in financial lines, she brings expertise in risk assessment, financial analysis, and relationship-building with distribution partners. Tiffany holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business and is actively engaged in the industry through PLUS, serving on the Mid-Atlantic Chapter steering committee and as a 2024 PLUS Foundation LAMP participant, as well as through the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA).

What This Award Means to Me
Receiving the Emerging Leader Award is a true honor and a humbling recognition from my fellow industry professionals. To me, this award reflects not only personal achievement but also the value of mentorship, collaboration, and the strong relationships I’ve built with my colleagues, distribution partners, and industry peers along the way. It also affirms the importance of giving back through PLUS, where I’ve had the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow alongside inspiring professionals. I am especially grateful for the guidance and support of my mentors and leaders at Travelers, whose encouragement has been instrumental in my development. This recognition motivates me to continue striving for excellence, fostering growth within my teams, and helping to shape the future of our industry with integrity, innovation, and purpose.
