Before joining Bailey Cavalieri, Elan was a member in the insurance department of a large international law firm. Elan received his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. VP, Management Liability Product Lead, Sompo International
Jennifer Bergstrom is VP, Management Liability Product Lead at Sompo International. In this role, Jennifer is responsible for reviewing and analyzing coverage requests from brokers and clients, collaborating with brokers and clients to develop coverage suites across D&O, Fiduciary, EPL and Crime products, developing a management liability training curriculum for underwriters, and identifying areas of innovation to foster business growth and retention. Before joining Sompo, Jennifer spent 7 years at Hiscox, where she held multiple roles, the most recent of which was VP, Product Head - Management Liability. Prior to joining Hiscox, Jennifer was a placement broker in Marsh & McLennan’s FINPRO group, where she placed Directors & Officers liability coverage for large public companies, and prior to Marsh, Jennifer spent a couple years at CNA as a claims consultant, where she handled private company D&O claims. Before joining CNA, Jennifer practiced insurance coverage litigation for 7 years for various Chicago-based law firms. Jennifer holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Ohio University, and holds a law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Jennifer is in the process of completing her CPCU. Jennifer is a member of CHIEF, a private women's business networking organization for senior executives. Jennifer is passionate about issues relating to diversity and inclusion, and founded and led the Women at Hiscox USA employee network while at Hiscox. In her spare time, Jennifer can be found playing with her son, Will (3), and daughter, Ada (1), running/exercising, or spending time with her husband, friends and family.

Anne Ray
Senior Counsel of Professional Liability Claims, Bowhead Specialty Underwriters
Anne handles public company D&O claims, including high exposure securities class actions, as well as private company management liability claims, including employment practices and D&O claims. Prior to joining Bowhead, Anne was a Director and Senior Counsel of Complex Claims at Markel Services, Inc. While at Markel, Anne handled a variety of public company D&O claims and private company management liability claims.
Prior to joining Markel, Anne was a partner at Jenner & Block in Chicago, where she was a member of the Litigation Department and the Professional Responsibility Practice Group. She defended legal malpractice claims and regularly spoke on a variety of issues related to professional responsibility, ethics, and conflicts. Anne had an active pro bono practice at Jenner & Block, focusing on trial and appellate level criminal defense in both federal and state court.
Anne is a member of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Professional Responsibility, a volunteer with the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice, previously chaired the Chicago Bar Association Professional Responsibility Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Children's Theatre.

Matthew Schweiger
AVEP Claims - D&O, Core Specialty
Matthew Schweiger has been the AVP of D&O claims at Core Specialty since January 2022. In that role, he oversees claims under public company and private company D&O policies, including employment practices liability and fiduciary liability claims. Matthew has been a claim professional in the management liability area since 2017. Before 2017, he was a practicing attorney representing insurers in professional liability matters with a focus on public and private D&O. Matthew’s experience as an attorney also included representing insurers in matters involving cyber liability, toxic tort and environmental liability, construction injuries and defects, non-profit liability, and personal lines liability, among others.
