Conference Cause Volunteer Activity

The Foundation Conference Cause event will take place on Monday, Nov 10 from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm in the Palazzo foyer next to the PLUS pop up Bar, lobby level. This event is open to anyone who wants to come and write notes of encouragement to the families and caregivers. We will have co-branded, PLUS Foundation and Orlando Fisher House, notecards for volunteers/conference attendees to write a letter of gratitude for service, welcome to the Fisher house, and/or good wishes for their family. The families will receive the cards with a welcome bag as they arrive at the house.

The Orlando Fisher House is a 16-suite comfort home that provides a safe space for the family members/caregivers of our Veterans that are admitted to the Orlando VA Hospital. This allows loved ones to be close to the Veteran while they are undergoing treatment or hospitalized for care. Our home provides individual suites, dining room, family room, laundry facilities and a fully stocked kitchen all at zero cost to the families. We are sustained by the donations and volunteerism of others to help keep the home running. The Orlando Fisher House is a part of the Fisher House Foundation, which have 84 houses across the US and overseas.
