Dounia Khali

Dounia Khali is Senior Vice President in Aon’s Financial Services Group, where she advises clients on complex directors’ and officers’ liability and other management liability exposures.

Dounia began her career in the class action field, adjudicating complex claims filed in million-dollar settlement matters. She later transitioned to the insurance industry, where she oversaw complex coverage disputes, cross-border securities class actions and other high-profile management liability claims.

Drawing on experience spanning law, claims and broking, Dounia regularly advises clients and industry professionals on management liability issues, claims developments and market trends. She is an active contributor to industry thought leadership and serves on the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) committee, helping develop educational programming for the financial lines community.

Dounia studied civil and common law at the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and is licensed through the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario.
