Gwenn Cujdik

Gwenn Cujdik is the Incident Response & Cyber Services Lead for AXA XL North America. In this role, she oversees cyber first party claims/incident response processes and procedures aimed at assisting claims specialists and clients navigate cyber incidents before, during and following an actual or suspected cyber, tech, or privacy incident. Gwenn also oversees AXA XL’s breach response provider panel and cyber services and is responsible for creating, executing, and managing cyber services including proactive and incident response services. She liaises closely with and provides consulting services to a wide array of internal AXA XL stakeholders as well as external partners including brokers and clients as a subject matter expert in cyber incident response. Gwenn joined AXA XL in 2021.
Prior to joining AXA XL, Gwenn was a homicide prosecutor in a major US city managing all aspects of a criminal investigation and prosecution, including grand jury and trial work. Thereafter she worked as a partner in premier cyber incident response law firm where she focused on pre-breach services and assisting clients through all stages of responding to cyber security and data privacy events, ranging from the initial discovery of a suspected event, remediation, and investigation to potential notification of the event and inquiries from regulators, law enforcement, and media. As a cyber incident response attorney Gwenn assisted in the response to more than 500 data privacy/cyber security events involving an extensive range of clients in both the public and private sectors from small to large enterprise. In her prior role at AXA XL as Claims Manger of the Cyber Incident Response Team for North America, Gwenn oversaw nearly 1000 incident response and first party claims. Additionally, AXA XL leverages her expertise to handle some of its most complicated and high-profile incident response matters.
Gwenn received her J.D. from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law and is admitted to Pennsylvania State Bar. She is a member of several professional organizations including NetDiligence’s Cyber Claims Advisory Group, Women in Cybersecurity, the International Women’s Cyber Alliance, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals. In 2024, Gwenn was named Zywave Cyber Risk Person of the Year for the Americas and was a nominee for Inspiring Woman in Cyber Insurance for the 2025 Intelligent Insurer USA Cyber Insurance Awards.
