M. Matthew Mannion

Matt joined Chubb in 2021 as a Vice President and Team Leader, managing one of the Large Commercial D&O teams handling claims in the following areas: Fiduciary Liability (ERISA), Transactional Risk, and Financial Institutions D&O and E&O Liability. Over the past year, he assumed the role of Senior Vice President, Claims Officer where he manages all Large Commercial D&O teams for North America Financial Lines Claims.

He has over 17 years experience in the insurance industry where he has held various roles of increasing responsibility in financial lines claims and has been a manager of Fiduciary Liability claims teams since 2016. Prior to beginning his insurance career, Matt was a litigation attorney for 10 years focusing on commercial litigation and insurance defense.

Matt holds a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University and a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He also served as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army both on active duty and in the U.S. Army Reserve completing his military service at the rank of major.
