Sarah Downey
Sarah is the Lockton U.S. Professional and Executive Risk Leader and Global Blockchain/Digital Assets Advisory (LEAP) Leader.
As the U.S. Professional and Executive Risk Leader, Sarah leads the practice responsible for advising clients on strategy, execution, and recovery for D&O, E&O, employment practices, fiduciary/ERISA, fidelity, and related
insurance products and services. She is responsible for leading key global growth and client initiatives for the division and continues to raise operational excellence with each key industry and product vertical. Prior to this role, Sarah served as the U.S. Professional and Executive Risk Head of Operations and Claims Leader in which, amongst other things, she was responsible for developing and implementing Lockton’s national strategy with respect to complex claims and with regard to thought leadership on matters relevant to the D&O and other financial and professional lines of coverage.
As the Blockchain/Digital Assets Advisory (LEAP) Leader, Sarah is focused on positioning Lockton as a trusted advisor, thought leader, and solution developer for insuring
blockchain and digital asset companies and the risks they face. Lockton has successfully
placed coverage for a number of blockchain companies, including trading platforms, exchanges, lenders, decentralized finance companies, mining companies, wallet
providers, market makers, liquidity providers, investment managers, asset managers, private equity/venture capital firms, custodians, payment platforms, blockchain
technology incubators, NFT platforms, and others.
