Inside the Future PLUS Pre-Symposium Intensive: Networking, Insight and Professional Growth

Earlier this month, we hosted our annual PLUS Health & Medical Professional Liability Symposium in Phoenix, Arizona. This impactful event featured an array of esteemed professionals in the field who shared their insights on timely topics, industry trends and emerging issues. In addition to the educational sessions, the symposium provided meaningful networking opportunities for attendees to connect and reflect.

Among those in attendance were our young professionals, who not only had the opportunity to network and attend educational sessions, but were also invited to the exclusive Elevate Your Impact: The Future PLUS Pre-Symposium Intensive.

The Elevate Your Impact: The Future PLUS Pre-Symposium Intensive served as a prelude to the PLUS Symposium experience, dedicated to professional growth and career development. Curated specifically for Future PLUS members, the session was designed to help attendees bridge the gap between simply attending the symposium to actively advancing their careers through meaningful connections and valuable industry knowledge. Whether participants were first-time attendees or looking to deepen their industry roots, the program offered strategic networking opportunities and actionable career insights to help build a strong and lasting professional foundation.

This hour-long pre-symposium experience provided young professionals with the opportunity to receive professional guidance from our Health and Medical Symposium chairs. The session included a breakdown of how insurance policies are written and handled in the event of a claim, with each chair sharing insights and advice from their perspectives as underwriters, claims professionals and attorneys. Additional topics included the qualities of successful underwriters and the key values to look for in broker partners. The experience concluded with opportunities for questions and networking.

The event was a success with many attendees stating that the session was a perfect opportunity to build their network in a small group environment ahead of the symposium. Many left feeling attuned to the lates trends and challenges in the healthcare and medical professional liability industry.
