Diane Dukes knows how to make an event unforgettable. Since joining PLUS in 2005, she’s been the mastermind behind the planning, strategy, and execution of national events that connect and inspire the professional liability community. With a B.S. in Hospitality Management from UNLV and over 13 years of experience working in Las Vegas’s dynamic event industry, Diane brings both precision and flair to every gathering she touches.

In her role as Vice President of Meetings & Events, Diane oversees it all from future site selections and vendor negotiations to sponsor partnerships, volunteer coordination, and budgeting. She leads a team that includes an internal senior planner and a third-party meeting planning group, making sure every PLUS event runs seamlessly and delivers on its promise to members.

Diane holds several top-tier certifications in the industry, including CMP, VEMM, and DES. She was named “Best Meeting Professional” and inducted into the Minnesota Meetings + Events Hall of Fame in 2020—a well-earned recognition of her excellence and impact. Her guiding principle? A Maya Angelou quote: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

When Diane’s not managing events, she’s likely adventuring. She’s visited all 50 states, explored more than 75% of U.S. national parks, and is on a mission to visit every one. Along the way, she feeds her love of American history through presidential libraries, historic monuments and battlefields, and cultural museums. At home, she enjoys life with family and friends including her husband and senior pets, Shiba Inu, Suki, and orange tabby, Sunny (devoted cuddle buddies and therapists).

And if her life had a theme song? It would be Sammy Hagar’s “I Can’t Drive 55,” a fitting choice for someone always on the move.
