Doug Greene leads BakerHostetler’s firmwide Securities and Governance Litigation Team. He has defended public companies and their directors and officers in securities class actions, shareholder derivative litigation, and SEC investigations and enforcement actions full time for three decades. He views himself as his clients’ friend and guide—to help them through securities litigation not only successfully, but also with empathy for their fears and frustrations. He works collegially with his clients’ D&O insurers and brokers to tap their strategic insights and to maximize his clients’ economic protections and peace of mind. Doug is the author of D&O Discourse, a blog providing securities litigation opinion from a defense perspective; author of several U.S. Supreme Court amicus briefs; frequent speaker and writer; and advocate for improvement in securities class action defense and economic protections for directors and officers.
