In this session we will explore the history and current trends and issues in MPLI. Attendees will gain a stronger understanding of the forms of MPL insurance coverage along with common claims issues and exposures for healthcare and medical professionals. Furthermore, we will identify key elements that distinguish Healthcare Professional Liability (HPL) policies, Medical Professional Liability (MPL) policies and Commercial General Liability (CGL) policies from each other.

This session provides attendees with a fiduciary liability legal framework, emphasizing fiduciary duties and functions. We will examine different fiduciary exposures and claims examples and attendees will leave this session with a greater understanding of fiduciary liability insurance clauses and exclusions.

What current cyber threats are affecting the PLI industry today? In what ways can cyber security risk be managed? In this session we will examine current cyber threats and cyber insurance market conditions. Attendees will be informed of top cyber claims, the various types of cyber insurance coverage provided and prominent coverage issues. We will also explore risk management services and modern regulatory agencies.
